About us

Hello, we are a media planning and buying agency based in Cardiff. 

We specialise in delivering results for our clients by getting them the right kind of attention.

Our focus is on results. They can take many forms, from sheer numbers of advert views to changes in audience perception, a return on investment or more visitors to an event, more subscriptions to fewer accidents, the list goes on. The key thing is this; results mean different things to different people, but they mean the world to everyone.

So we listen to what that means to our clients, we figure out how to get them, we research, we plan, we create and we get results. It’s what we do and we do it with a smile. 

From our home in Tramshed Tech (and also our actual homes since COVID-19 decided to wreak havoc on the world!), we work with some amazing great Welsh brands, (or as we like to call them, Attention Seekers), such as Brecon Carreg, Wales Co-operative Centre, Cardiff City Football Club, and Visit Cardiff.

Why are we recruiting?

We don’t recruit often so when we do, we always think carefully about why we are recruiting and the people we look to join our team.

Despite the pandemic, 2020 and 2021 have seen us grow. We have won record amounts of new business and we’re about to make a significant investment into our brand and this is where you might come in!

What are we looking for?

We want to keep growing and as we embark on our brand refresh, we think now is the right time to appoint a new Marketing Assistant.

What is the work like?

We have an idea of some of the things that we need to get started with and we’ve outlined these below. 

We don’t expect a single candidate to be able to know about or do all of these things so don’t worry if you only understand some of them. The most important thing is that you have an interest in them and are open to learning about them. 

Day to day, your tasks might include:

  • Working with our brand agency to deliver our new brand identity
  • Briefing our brand agency on campaigns we are looking to run
  • Working with our graphic designer to ensure our website is updated
  • Creating new case studies that can be used on our website and socials
  • Creating blog posts so that our website is updated and regularly refreshed
  • Working with our animator to bring to life some of our existing content
  • Updating social media, in particular, Twitter and LinkedIn
  • Working on advertising plans to attract new clients
  • Identifying awards that we can enter to recognise client achievements
  • Writing our monthly email newsletter and growing our subscriber base
  • Seeking out partnership opportunities with complementary agencies

Then there are some things we’d like you to have an interest in or knowledge of, that might help you with the above (don’t worry if you don’t know what all of them are, we can help with that!):

  • Business to Business (B2B) marketing
  • Media planning and buying
  • Email marketing
  • Creative writing
  • Researching and information gathering
  • Media trends and industry developments
  • Analytics and the ability to interpret data into meaningful actions
  • The Welsh language

Hours and environment

We generally work Monday to Friday, 9-5. Overtime is not a regular occurrence here, but at busy times we do expect a degree of flexibility when we have deadlines to meet and clients to please.

This role has a requirement to spend a minimum of two days per week at our office in Cardiff and subject to a risk assessment, working remotely is something we’re keen to facilitate.
