We are investing in the future of the industry

We are investing in the future of the industry by backing a fresh approach to higher education that combines paid employment with university study.

We have welcomed our first student, Megan Williams, through the University of South Wales' Network75 programme - a unique initiative that enables students to gain long-term industry experience while completing their degree through paid employment with a partner business.

Unlike traditional placements, Network75 students spend three days a week working with their employer during term time, and two days studying at university.

As part of our commitment, Hello Starling is funding Megan’s university tuition fees and providing a living bursary throughout the duration of the course, with financial support increasing each year during the five-year course.

We have wanted to introduce a scheme like this for several years and believe Network75 provides the ideal framework to make it happen alongside our long-standing relationship with the University of South Wales.

The programme creates long-term benefits for both students and employers. We gain a team member who grows alongside the business, while Megan graduates with years of industry experience, established professional networks, and reduced financial barriers to higher education.

Megan was selected following a competitive recruitment process involving both the University of South Wales and Hello Starling.

Applicants apply to the Network75 programme alongside their university application before progressing through several
interview stages.
